Tax Incentive Creates New Jobs
Baltimore-based Cycle World recently hired three new employees though Maryland’s Job Creation and Recovery Tax Credit, and plans to hire additional workers to support its growing retail business. The company, owned by Jeff Jeffers with locations in Brooklyn Park and Rosedale, is the area’s largest volume power sports dealer with more than 25 employees and was one of the first companies to apply for the credit.
On May 3, Governor O’Malley toured the Brooklyn Park location and met with employees in the service, parts and accessories and sales departments to discuss the benefits of the jobs tax credit, which, to date, has helped put more than 70 unemployed Marylanders back to
work. To learn more, visit the MD Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation.
