GOVERNOR O’MALLEY APPOINTS MARYLAND STATE ARTS COUNCILORS
Five new councilors appointed. Officers re-elected.
Governor O’Malley recently appointed five councilors to the Maryland State Arts Council. They are David Harp, Abigail Hoffman, Dr. Jony Jiang Liu, William Mandicott, and Dr. David Terry. MSAC APPROPRIATION INCREASES, GOVERNOR O’MALLEY ANNOUNCES $12.8 MILLION IN MARYLAND ARTS AWARDS
Thanks to Governor O'Malley's commitment to an increase of $846,398 for Maryland State Arts Council grants for the arts in Maryland, the arts council's state appropriation reached an all time high of $15,197,003 for FY2008. This is up 5.89 percent over last year.
