Friend of the Year” award today from the Maryland Legislative

Sen.
John Astle, Democratic co-chair of the caucus and a member of
the Maryland Tourism Development Board, praised Gov. O’Malley’s
support for rebuilding the Chesapeake Bay’s blue crab population
and such legislation as the Maryland Artificial Reef Initiative.
“When
it comes to the traditional rights of sportsmen to hunt, fish
and trap, there are no partisan boundaries,” said Del.
Richard B. Weldon, Jr., Republican co-chair of the caucus. “We
all want a available open-space land in which to hunt and a
clean watershed in which to fish.”
